Easter Weekend

April 8th, 2023

Next week we're collaborating with the regenerative farm Bodemzicht for some fun things! From Thursday till Saturday you can buy climate eggs from Bodemzicht at FJ. You'll definititely be the star of the Easter breakfast if you bring these coloured eggs! On Saturday we're hosting a tour at the farm, join the fun! It will also be the first weekend for our brand new chef Hidde. From Thursday till Saturday you can enjoy all his treats. If you want to make sure you won't miss out on this; please make a reservation by sending us a dm, mail, app or letter.

Bodemzicht is a regenerative demonstration farm and learning place near Nijmegen. Regenerative agriculture grows living soil, captures CO2, increases biodiversity, builds communities and provides a fair income for farmers. The mission of Bodemzicht farm is to facilitate life and tasteful, healthy food is the most fantastic 'by-product' through which they achieve this.

Bodemzicht sells regenerative eggs from chickens that eat fresh grass and insects all year round. By grazing holistically with chicken mobiles, they stimulate abundant grass growth, build living soil and actively sequester CO2. You can taste all that goodness in their eggs! Fun addition: they're all coloured differently.

FARM TOUR (ticket link in bio)
On Saturday 8 april we're inviting you to visit Bodemzicht with us. In a 1.5 hour during farm tour you learn more about no-dig market gardening, holistic planned grazing and the latest developments at the farm. We'll gather at FJ (14:30), from there it's a 20 minute bike tour to the farm. We'll take care of some bottles of natural wine, so you won't dry out! Price to join the tour €20 (includes a glass of wine and a box of 6 eggs). Back at the bar our chef is ready to make you some tasty dishes in which he uses a few of the veggies and herbs that the land is providing at this time of the year.
